And some days life is just hard. And some days are just rough. And some days you just gotta cry before you move forward. And all of that is okay.
We are all flooded with quotes, memes, and well meaning people saying – just be happy. While that’s a great suggestion, we must never forget we are only human. And we have been blessed with a wide range of emotions. We will also have a wide range of experiences through
And it is OK.
It is OK if somedays you just cannot get yourself to smile no matter how hard you try. And somedays are so bad that you don’t even feel like trying. That is OK too.
Don’t beat yourself up for those days. Give yourself permission to feel your emotions. Feel it to its full width and depth. Stay with it, without judging yourself. Oftentimes just giving yourself that kind of attention without judging will take the edge off the sadness.
Be sure though to not let yourself linger in those crappy feelings for too long. The reason is, if we get used to a certain thing…even emotion, then over a period of time, your neurons get used to firing that way. That is the reason it is so hard to break any habit.
If you feel you have depression, please do seek help. Don’t isolate yourself. Talk to someone you know will understand. Talk to your doctor. Talk to anyone you trust.

- Sign up for a new course or just learn something new. That gives me a huge boost.

- Meditation using dazzling white light or pure golden light elevates my moods.
