If you can stop negative events from your past from affecting you now, and can tune into happy thoughts now, it will make a huge difference, won’t it? Read the rest of this blog post and do the meditation to achieve this.
We have heard many times: “The past is gone, we cannot do anything about it. So just let it go”. I have discovered something different.
I came across this process when I was really upset over something from my past. The angels led me through this exercise and it was very healing.
What you read below might sound controversial, but keep an open mind and read on.
This process is based on the following premise:
1. All time is NOW. All things we see as past or future are all in the present eternal moment. We experience time as linear and chronological on earth. But it is an illusion. (This concept of the illusion of time is explained very well in the book “Conversations with God” part 1)
2. Every possibility that you can imagine and cannot imagine, already exist in another reality. (Again this concept is also beautifully explained in the book “Conversations with God” part 1)
Therefore…if the past is happening now, and if whatever you can imagine already exists in some reality:
1. You can imagine (rewrite) a completely healed and beautiful past that makes you happy, and know that it already exists.
2. When you reach out to that lovelier past, you re-align your emotions and energies to it.
3. And that brings emotions of harmony, peace and happiness to you.
4. The emotions of basic happiness is what we seek in anything we do. And this state of happiness creates a happy “future” (ie, leads you to that possibility of future which is happy).
So, it is a worthwhile exercise to re-write and heal our pasts, don’t you think? 🙂
Basically all this means is, that all possibilities of any situation are already out there – whether in the “past” or in the “future”. Everything you can imagine, or even cannot imagine are all out there, playing out in the mind boggling number of possibilities. When you “re-write” your past, or “visualize” your future with emotion and feeling in a way that it all looks and feels real to you, you powerfully re-align yourself with that version of the past, or future. And your present is affected by the energies and emotions of what you are aligning with.
Many of you are already used to visualizing a better future. Re-writing your past is exactly the same process, because in reality there is no past or future.
I had someone come to me who had suffered from sexual abuse as a child. As you can imagine, her present (and future) was not very happy because of the energies that carried over from that experience. So I led her through a meditation where she re-wrote her past. In this past she was not abused. She was loved, protected and cherished as a child. She repeated this meditation a few times, and she felt a lot better. She couldn’t get upset again by those memories anymore, and that was the most important thing — it stopped affecting her.
However, you need to do this visualization in such a way that you can actually FEEL the emotions from your new and improved “past”. Just like you would when you visualize a good future. And you must trust in the process. It works. And works beautifully.
After all, what do we want from any situation? It basically boils down to happy feelings. Happy emotions. Sad events brings unhappy feelings, and happy events bring happy emotions. Simple? And to bring these happy feelings, you need to align yourself with the best possibility out there — whether from the so called past or the future. That’s all there is to it.
Remember: This is an exercise to align yourself to the energies and emotions of the best possibility. This is not something that can bring back our departed loved ones (they never left us, but that’s another blog post). All we want is to replace the unhappy emotions with peaceful ones so we can live in peace and harmony in the present, and create a beautiful future.
And of course, to erase negative emotions from a past event, you can even use EFT tapping very effectively. The unhappy emotions will be erased. But that is another technique, and another blog post :-).
Below is a meditation you can listen to while re-writing your past.
NOTE: Listen to the meditation once so you know what is being said. Then settle down, close your eyes, and start the video again, and meditate. An example of how you can re-write your past is this: If someone had a humiliating experience at school when they were little, they should go back to the start of that day, even before anything had gone wrong. They should then recreate that day…dream a beautiful day, making it go exactly as they would have liked it to go…imagining things that would make them feel very happy and peaceful.

Dear Swati Madam, I look forward for some guidance from you. I am in deep pain due to my broken yp relationship. I have been in love with someone for the last two years. However, it was always one sided, she spent time with me, we spent close moments, happy moments, but then she says she never loved me asva soulmate. Now for the last two.months she has become very indifferent towards me ans she even doesn’t receive my calls, forget about meeting. I know it’s over. She’s all set to leave me and I have to give up. She’s determined not to come back. She has hurt me a lot. I have spent sleepless nights, only crying and breaking up.
But now that I know there’s no future in it, I want to control my emotions and move further. I have suffered a lot, cried a lot, I literally onelt down in fronr of her for some love, but always gruffly ungranted.
Please help me in forgetting this bitter love episode of my life. I want peace and happiness and I want to forget her completely. I pray she stay happily but it’s true she has broken me completely.
Please guide me Madam.

Vijay, you must never beg for love. If love is not freely given, it will never be given by asking for it or begging or pleading. Begging only brings your dignity down. Yes, you are right it is over. And I will not say this is not going to be painful. But you must make up your mind to get over her, and move on with your life. Think of your parents. They gave life to you…they gave their everything to you. Can you imagine how they must feel to see their child feeling rejected and sad? For their sake, rise up, let go of people who do not understand your worth. It’s really her loss. Not yours. Try EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) tapping. Here are a few videos to work with. Just do what they say, but make sure you are feeling all the sad feelings…focus on the sadness when you do the tapping, and change the words according to how YOU feel:

You will feel a LOT of relief when you do this. Watch all the videos and see which one you like most. Then tap along while focusing on the emotion you are feeling. Do it till you feel a lot better, or don’t feel the pain anymore. Let me know how you feel.
Hi I also lost my baby to bullycide in 2009 he was 13. I went into his room to see if he was ok and found him hanging from his bunkbed.. There was nothing anybody could do.. In that instant my life was destroyed. I’ve had counciling over the yrs but nothing can take away ymthe memories of finding him. Is there a way I could take these memories away? I find my self bursting into tears every time I see bunk beds in shops or through peoples bedroom windows.

As a mother, I can’t even think what you must be going through. I wish children would confide in their parents when they face these problems. There is so much a parent can do to help minimize the pain. Do you wish to talk to Melissa Richardson who wrote the article on bullying? She lost her daughter at age 12. I wonder if I’m ever going to be able to erase those awful images from my mind.. The guilt I feel for not realizing how bad the situation at school was and how Alone my baby felt.. I’ve tried so hard so hard to move on but am thinking it is almost impossible xx
Deborah, I hope you can and will let go of the guilt. At least for the reason that your child would never want you to feel this way. He would be happy to see you happy. But that said, as a mom, I know that I shudder even to think of this possibility. Please let me know if I can do anything to help you. I really wish I could soften the pain you feel.
